Dr. Alenezi is a Medical Director of Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases Specialist at the Vancouver Infectious Diseases Centre and the Vancouver Virology Centre. He conducts clinical trials in the field of HIV/HCV, serving as a Principal Investigator and Co-Investigator.

Dr. Alenezi earned his Bachelor of Basic Medical Sciences and Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery at Kuwait University. He later passed the Canadian Evaluation Exam, and pursued Internal Medicine Residency Training and Infectious Diseases Fellowship Training at the University of British Columbia. With this, he passed the Canadian Royal College Exam in Internal Medicine and the American Board in Internal Medicine. Following, he trained further to obtain his Clinical Virology fellowship and Research Training and successfully passed his Medical Council of Canada qualifying exam.

His primary research interests are opioid dependency, HIV, anesthesiology, pharmacology, and therapeutics.
