Dr. Winston Husbands is an associate professor in the Social and Behavioural Health Sciences Division at the Dalla Lana School of Public Health at the University of Toronto. He also currently holds the position of Senior Scientist at the Ontario HIV Treatment Network. His research focuses on critical approaches to understanding HIV among Black Canadian communities, and interventions to strengthen community-based responses to HIV.

Dr. Husbands received his PhD from the University of Western Ontario, and completed his MPhil at the University of the West Indies in Kingston, Jamaica. His current projects include developing interventions to promote critical awareness of HIV among Black communities, and identifying pathways to strengthen Black community leadership in the response to HIV.
