Erin Cherban rejoined the CTN in 2016. As Chief Clinical Research Officer, she is responsible for ensuring that clinical trial and research services, including project management and strategies for ongoing implementation are in place to support clinical trials conducted across the CTN. She is also responsible for monitoring.

Erin previously worked with the CTN from 1999 to 2010 and rejoined in 2016. In the interim, she served as Director of Clinical Research Operations at the Rick Hansen Institute.

After completing her Master of Sciences degree, Erin worked in academic and pharmaceutical-sponsored clinical research organizations. Her expertise includes clinical trial concept and protocol development; international, multi-centre clinical trial project management; monitoring/auditing clinical trial sites; and collaborative leadership of multidisciplinary teams. Throughout her career in research, Erin has actively volunteered to develop and promote clinical research continuing education and professional development. In addition to being a Network of Networks (N2) board member, she was elected to the Society of Clinical Research Administrator (SoCRA) board of directors from 2006 to 2009 and currently proctors SoCRA Certified Clinical Research Professional (CCRP®) examinations.
