Dr. Milloy is an assistant professor in the Division of AIDS in the Department of Medicine at the University of British Columbia, a research scientist at the BC Centre for Excellence in HIV/AIDS, and an Affiliate Investigator at the Vancouver Coastal Health Research Initiative.

He earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology at Trent University. Following, he received his Master’s in Healthcare and Epidemiology, his PhD and Postdoctoral fellowship in the School of Population and Public Health at the University of British Columbia.

Dr. Milloy’s research focuses on the impact of illicit drugs on HIV/AIDS, the interrelationships between cannabis and HIV/AIDS disease treatment; and by using quantitative methods, he also investigates the social factors that cause HIV disease progression.
