Dr. Elizabeth King is an Assistant Professor with the Faculty of Health Sciences at Simon Fraser University and works clinically as an Infectious Diseases specialist with Providence and Fraser Health. She received her BSc in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the University of Northern British Columbia, followed by her MD at the University of British Columbia. She went on to gain specialty training in Internal Medicine and subspecialty training in Infectious Diseases at UBC, then completed a Masters degree in Health Sciences at UBC. She went on to do a research fellowship with the UBC Clinician Investigator Program. Dr. King has received several competitive grants and awards, including the CIHR Women’s Health and Mentorship grant, Mark Wainberg CTN scholarship, and 2020 MSFHR trainee award. Dr. King’s research program seeks to understand and diminish health inequities experienced by women living and aging with HIV.
